What do you know about the variety of Suria KLCC restaurant options? Check out this extensive guide on KLCC food and find something you'll be sure to enjoy.

It was famed gastronome J.A. Brillat-Savarin who first said: “The discovery of a new dish does more for human happiness than the discovery of a new star”. This quote alone might inspire you to always be trying new foods, new restaurants, and new experiences. So, what is the best way to do that in the KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Center)?
Below, we have the answer for you. I have tried out every KLCC restaurant we could find which seemed to give us something unique and new for a traveler or foodie. So, make a note of all these and learn what you might have missed out on until tod
1. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Lai Po Heen

When you look for KLCC food, you are aiming for something in the center of one of the busiest places in the country. So, you might want something which allows for a much more relaxed, high-class dining experience. Lai Po Heen delivers this mood in huge quantities.
From the elegant decor to the talented chefs, the restaurant steeps every part of your experience here in the idea you deserve pampering. To top this off, the food exemplifies this by being some of the best we have tasted in the region.
While they have a Dim Sum menu, we went for the a-la-carte option to get a bit more variety and take our time. I chose the Diamond Set, while my date went for the Sapphire Set, but we both shared much of our food and we enjoyed every bite.
I was a huge fan of the wok-fried marinated lamb chops. The chilies they topped the dish with gave the whole thing a wonderful kick, while the lamb itself was fried to perfection. Though, my date took much more of my oven-baked honey cod than I should have allowed.
Each of our dinner sets came with a matching tea. Mine had Da Hong Pao, whereas they had Pai Mu Tan. While I cannot say which was better suited for the meal because we shared so much, they were both great options.
The staff was also wonderful and very helpful. We did not know a few of the items on the menu, so they were happy to let us know the details of each dish. During the meal, they were not overbearing but would appear at our table exactly when the food was gone and the conversation petered out.

2. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Burger & Lobster KLCC

It is over. The competition ends here. This was the best restaurant in KLCC we could find.
The burgers were a wonderful experience among a sea of mediocre fast food in the region. As soon as I bit into this sandwich, the juicy filling touched my tongue and I was in heaven. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, while the fries alongside them were well-salted and tasted good but did not fill me up too much.
The homemade sesame seed bun was well-toasted, giving the whole burger a glorious texture on the outside. The pickles on the inside also gave it enough tang without overwhelming the meal.
My friend and I tried their “classics”. The Mayfair Burger and the Original Lobster. While these might have been plain, they were the “house options” and for good reason, they made me want to come back and try everything else they had to offer.
The lobster itself we had was half-grilled and half-steamed. It was a fresh and delicious option. Their garlic butter tasted different from any I have had before, but it made the lobster so much better.
We were not drinking alcohol that day, so we both had different juices. These were nothing to get too excited about but went well with the meals we had.
After the meal, I asked for the Pistachio Tres Leches. I did not think the meal could improve further after the burger, but I was wrong. It was so rich, and the raspberries accentuated the caramel sponge creating an elegant taste I have struggled to find elsewhere since.
It might sound to you like I am exaggerating, but this was without a doubt the best meal I have had in years. Visit it and try their food if you do not believe me.

3. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Yun House

This location has a strangely homely atmosphere to it that I was not prepared for as I entered, although I soon became accustomed to it. It was relaxing, and I almost felt like I was intruding on someone else’s dining room. I was fortunate this “homely” mood also extended to the food, which all tasted home-cooked and delicious.
I tried the Bing Zhen Chicken, which left a light tingle on my tongue because of its tasty plum chili sauce. Along with some wok-fried noodles, it became a perfect accompaniment to a busy day. I was able to relax and enjoy a good meal here.
The staff was also kind, calm, and friendly. When I had a sudden need for a glass of water due to a light cough, they came to my table fast and resolved the situation before I even thought to call them over. I was very grateful for this.

4. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Mosaic

This KLCC buffet restaurant is a wonderful location to spend time in. There are so many different options, I sometimes felt overwhelmed, but I also knew I could keep going back for more later.
The food on display was a mix of local cuisine and international dishes. My dinner party and I were able to pick a little bit of everything as we traversed the options. There was a choice of Indian, Japanese, and Chinese here, as well as many other options.
Everything seemed prepared with care, the location was clean, and the food was well-cooked. If someone suggested coming back here again, I would not say no. The KLCC restaurant buffet list is not short, but this makes the top five with ease.

5. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Nobu

This is a wonderful little restaurant in the Four Seasons that provides a fantastic array of Japanese food. You can even watch the chefs as you eat, and should you choose to sit at the bar you have a front-row seat to their skill. I was planning to comment on them as part of this review, but I can only say they were professional and courteous, as they were so focused.
The food was good, the staff was attentive, and the mood was calm. I would come back here again, I might even bring a friend the next time.

6. KLCC Restaurant & Food - M Marini Grand Caffè & Terrazza

This is a wonderful display of perfect opulence in the middle of one of Kuala Lumpur’s busiest districts. It prides itself on being a “champagne and caviar caffè”, and strongly evokes this feeling through both the food and the ambiance.
The food is well-presented and well-cooked, and each course felt like it added something special to the whole experience.
I had the Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken, which was a glorious mix of flavors. The anchovies sambal can often overpower a dish, but here they did not use too much. It was a brilliant choice for a place that prides itself on quality.

7. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Marinis on 57

This beautiful rooftop bar is the perfect place to either dine in the evening or take a date for a slow drink. There is a reason many sites list it as one of the best bars in Malaysia, if not the world.
The menu starts with a caviar selection, showing you its proverbial hand from the get-go. As you continue through, you will find a wide range of different treats that all delight the tongue and will fill the belly by the end of the evening.
We splashed out and had the Japanese Wagyu, and I could not believe how it almost melted on my tongue. It was an astounding experience that I hope to try at least once more when I return. My date had the Merluzzo, and they could not stop talking about how its texture was perfect, with a roasted outside and smooth, cooked flesh inside.
If you have the chance, and the money, definitely try this location out.

8. KLCC Restaurant & Food - OpenHouse

Malaysian food, especially restaurant food, often comes from many different locales. Thus, this KLCC Malaysia restaurant matches that with what it describes as a “rich melange” of different flavors. The menu is as diverse as the decor, and you can expect to be overwhelmed by the different styles on display in all corners of this restaurant.
For RM199 per person, you can pick up one of their “Warisan Negara” menu set meals. For this, I picked up the Rendang Tok and Ayam Sambal Tumis Tuhau. These were both good choices that left me feeling like I wanted them every day for the rest of the week.
Along with the food, the staff were lovely and friendly and ensured our glasses and plates were always filled.

9. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Chinoz On The Park

For such a spacious indoor area, I was surprised at the choice of using stools on many of the tables in here. Although I expect the space is sometimes used more as a bar than as the restaurant we attended it as.
My partner had a rice dish. They said it was both filling and delicious, and they ended up wanting to come back here while we still visited. As for myself, I had the gnocchi, which arrived looking so good it appeared as though it had leaped out of a menu photograph.
The meal was wonderful, and we left satisfied.

10. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Ben's by BIG

What KLCC restaurant list is complete without the addition of Western and Eastern fusion? This location is one such place that seems to want to fill you with many kinds of potatoes until you are fit to burst. Wedges, ruffled potatoes, and many other kinds all compete, but leave you wanting more as the chef cooks them so well and seasons them to match.
Of course, this is not the only thing on the menu. Their pasta, rice dishes, and even a delicious Roast Beef and French Onion Melt on toast work together to create a great experience for any diner.

11. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Serai

If you do not know of Serai, they are a range of restaurants all under different names but following similar tenets across Malaysia. They try to create a positive experience and describe it as their food’s “soul”. They do not fail in this regard.
The Serai@KLCC is a little pricey for what you get, but what we got was some of the best dishes money could buy. The serving size was not small, and every person we were with came out happy. I recommend the Deep-Fried Crispy Squid, but my friends swore by the Asam Seabass Curry they tried.

12. KLCC Restaurant & Food - K Fry Urban Korean

We have discussed K Fry in some of the other reviews we completed, and as this exists as a franchise it is mostly the same everywhere. Although that does not mean it is lacking in any way.
If you want some cheese, chicken, and fries, this is the place for it. Grabbing a Bumbuk and some rice balls meant I was stuffed for the rest of my tour around the area. It was a good choice.

13. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Madam Kwan's

When you go to a food website and realize it is telling you the story of its owner, you know you are in for a good time. It usually means the food is going to have a unique flavor and feel almost home-cooked. That is exactly what we got here, and we want more.
My recommendation is to start with the Otak-Otak and move on to a Curry Laksa. These will fill you up with some of the best flavors you can find in the region. Check out the place if you want to feel satisfied.

14. KLCC Restaurant & Food - DIN by Din Tai Fung

This KLCC Chinese restaurant specializes in its dumplings. These are well-cooked and their dough is neither too cloying nor sweet, as I have found in some other places.
Their Shrimp and Chicken Shaomai ended up as the cornerstone of our meal, with some of my group having far more than their fair share. We ended with some Sesame Rice Balls Coated with Peanuts, and they tasted extravagant, a perfect end to the evening.

15. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Eight Ounce Coffee Co.

Moving away from hearty meals and into the beverage section, we were surprised by the range of different drinks available in this venue. The whole place feels very casual, helping you to enjoy the company of your coffee date while you grab a Passion Fruit Iced Tea.
Their food is also all homemade, meaning you do not need to worry about it tasting chilled or over-preserved. It is a wonderful taste for a wonderful place.

16. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Imperial Chakri Palace

This location touts itself as the “Best Thai Food In KL”, and I can believe that statement. While it exists as a food chain rather than a small family-run business, it does not seem to have lost its soul.
I had the Clear Tom Yam with Seabass, whereas my partner had the Signature Deep Fried King Prawns. She is not usually a fan of cashew nuts, but this time she gave the paste it comes with a go, and she loved it.
The menu has something for everyone, so do not miss this opportunity for great Thai food.

17. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Maria's Signature

Sometimes you just want a good slab of meat on your plate to tuck into. As such, this steakhouse might be just what you need to fill your face and have a wholesome time.
There’s very little that is fancy here. They do not decorate your food. They are no-nonsense, and sometimes it is good to appreciate this.
Pick up your knife and fork, ask for a medium-rare Wagyu Striploin, and allow the taste to suffuse your tongue. I will admit I was a little undignified when I tucked into this one, and the satisfied noises I made distracted both my partner and others around me.

18. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Little Penang Kafé

So small, it does not even have a website and we almost missed it. This place gave us exactly what we expected, which was hearty Penang food. Lucky for you, it appears here among other reviews.
There was a little bit of a queue during the time we arrived, but it moved on fast. Our food was also fast to our table and we did not regret a single bite.

For coffee and comfort food, you can rarely do better than this location. There is outdoor and indoor eating, allowing us to bask in the sunshine as we dined. My friends and I all had great lattes but we did not expect less.
We could see many others enjoying food, so I ordered and enjoyed a Carbonara. In the future, if I want a simple wholesome lunch, I will pop in when I pass by.

20. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Genki Sushi

As one of many KLCC Japanese restaurants available, each one has to try hard to stand out, and this one makes it.
I am not a big sushi snob, so I tried their seared sushi options, and I might find it hard to try it any other way in the future. Their Saba Teriyaki was wonderful, and I find myself wondering where else I could get some more in the future.

22. KLCC Restaurant & Food - Sushi Oribe

This location asks you to trust the chefs to choose the details of every meal. So, do not expect to ask for substitutions or even specific details of your meal. In theory, they know better, in practice it holds true.
We ordered the Omakase, the Chef’s seasonal choice of food.
I am still not sure what I received in the end and I was too embarrassed to ask. It was a tuna with a lightly spiced Teriyaki sauce on a bed of rice. Somehow, though, it was the best thing I had eaten in days.
Come to be surprised, and leave satisfied.

It is always good when the featured specialties of a location match its ambiance and style. In this case, we tried the Pa Naeng Beef Curry and we ended up blown away. It was both creamy and nutty, while the beef had been cooked such that it almost fell apart in my mouth.
Many other options exist, and I would recommend you try each of them.

This location was on our “Must visit” list when we came to Kuala Lumpur, much like we had with other locations. We reserved seats and spent much too long scouring the menu. We ended up having the six-course menu, and we were astounded at the quality of what we received.
While each course was small, it was well-chosen to complement both what came before and after. The wait staff also recommended perfect drinks to go alongside it. A wonderful evening was had by all.

This is a beautiful, outdoor bar and restaurant that owes a lot to its placement high up. Looking over its balcony, you have a wonderful view of the space around it in the capital, making it refreshing during the day and very romantic at night.
While their food is great, you can also get a lot out of the cocktails here. They have a good range, each one made to accentuate your outdoor enjoyment of their venue. Come here with friends for a good night.

Sometimes when I go into a restaurant that has unique dishes, especially small ones, I get a little overwhelmed. Lucky for me, the chef in Sushi Hibiki was able to talk to me about everything they served me.
The food was wonderful, they helped me pick something perfect for me, and while the servings were small they made up for it with their amazing taste. While Malaysia has some amazing food, it is rare to find something this good.

I always feel a little awkward entering a restaurant for a hotel, as though the only people who should go there are hotel goers. Of course, that is not true, but it did overshadow what was otherwise some wondrous food.
If you visit on Sunday, try their Sunday Buffet, which includes one of the finest ranges of food on offer in the area.

The last place on this KLCC restaurant list is maybe the most unique, with a combination swimming pool, lounge, and eatery. Certainly not common in Malaysian eateries.
While I did not partake in the pool, somehow it did help me relax in this area. We took a booth and had a great view of the region as we enjoyed both cocktails and tasty burgers. The food here is not the best choice on this list, but it was an experience I will never forget.
