The restaurant itself is a classy and lavish location, evoking a mixture of British and Malaysian influences. Although once the food arrives, we hardly pay attention to the decor anymore as everything is so good.
We ordered the Seafood Tower, expecting a short stack of oysters, but were instead astounded by the amount of food we received. King crab legs, prawns, salmon slices, and oysters were almost falling out of the plate. The chef had prepared each one to perfection and there was nothing we did not enjoy.

It is around here that I regretted writing this article. Not because anything went wrong, but because I remembered back to the food I had here and I was hungry all over again. While simple fast food, this is one of the best restaurants when you want to indulge.
This location has some of the most crispy and tender fried chicken alongside layers of mozzarella cheese. You can choose to have the chicken with many different sauces, including honey mustard or yangnyeon. So, you can always get something that suits your mood.

This location has many different Vietnamese dishes for you to try. The website includes many clear pictures that make it hard to resist even a simple Braised Beef (Bò Kho).
If we were to give one recommendation, we would suggest trying the Braised Pork Belly in Coconut Juice (Thịt Kho Nước Dừa). This is because we found it disappeared fast as our whole group wanted to try some. Although the Hanoian Style Fish with Tumeric & Dill (Chả Cá Lã Vọng) was also to die for.

It is always lovely to hear that a franchise has a nice story behind it, and Putien is no different. As an immigrant, the proprietor of these restaurants chose to bring some of his hometown’s flavors to Malaysia many years ago. This means that you will be tasting some of the local recipes from the southeast Chinese coast.
With some fantastic examples of Buddha Jumps Over The Wall and an amazing yellow croaker dish, this is very much a unique location. Although we do not mean “unique” as in bad, everything we ate here was both satisfying and a new flavor for our palette. And none of it turned us off wanting to come again.

If you are looking for a good Korean buffet, stopping off at the Seoul Garden should be your first plan. They have good food at a reasonable price and cozy decor that encourages communal meals.
On top of this, they like to celebrate special occasions. If you are there with a party, you can have a free buffet on the house. So, if you visit once a year each with a group of four, that is four free meals every year. There are very few other locations that can make such an offer.
Seoul Garden’s soups, steamboats, and grilled food all offer a wholesome meal. Everything is full of flavor, although if you want a little extra they do have a premium menu too. They even offer “Take Home” packs if the food is so good that you want a chance to have it in your home, too.

With a great many booths, Sushi Zanmai has room for many small parties to enjoy a wide variety of different Japanese goods.
We were huge fans of the Maki sushi offered here, especially the Soft Shell Crab Maki and the Ebi Fry Mentaiko Maki. If you get a chance, try one of these so long as you enjoy shellfish.
For those of our party who were unsure, the staff was both friendly and helpful. They helped advise those new to sushi on what they should try for their first attempt.
Just be aware that the place can be popular, and so sometimes fills out. Get there early for some of the freshest food and the best service.

Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate await you when you step into Royce. Not so much an eatery as a gift shop or chocolatier, the Sunway Pyramid Royce kiosk offers many different flavors and types of creamy candy.
The quality of their chocolate is second to none, and although the price is high, it is worth that cost.
They import much of their chocolate from Japan. This is especially true for their Nama, which people recommended when we mentioned we were trying out the location. We would also suggest that you buy some. It is rich, soft chocolate that melts in the mouth.

10. Sunway Pyramid Food - IPPUDO
This location focuses on the perfect bowl of ramen made for you. Visit, and talk to the servers here about how they prepare what they make. A little bit of love truly goes into every dish, and you can taste it in every delicious bowl.
Still, there are many other delicious options available. We would recommend the Chicken Nanban and the Ippudo Hakata-Style Gyoza, both of which disappeared almost as soon as they appeared in front of us. We could not hold back once we had the first bite.

11. Sunway Pyramid Food - Village Roast Duck
A Chinese restaurant is famous, of course, for its duck. It is a great dish, with the duck perfectly cooked and allowing you to make your own wraps.
Despite the famed duck, that is not the only food available here. One of our parties had the Stone Grill Prawn Rice, and while at first glance it may look like much, the taste was extraordinary.
The staff served the food without delay, allowing us to dig in soon after we smelled it wafting from the kitchen. Portions were big enough for our group, and we did not feel like we overpaid.

While using a brand built on sushi alone, the Sushi King offers a wide range of other options. We were a big fan of the Tori Soboro Don, as well as the “Choose Your Curry” options they provide.
Still, the sushi was to die for. I can never pass on a good Temaki, and theirs had plenty of fresh and delicious ingredients stuffed into the cone.
If you want dumplings, tofu, or anything else with a little al dente, the Agemono options at the Sushi King all work well to allow you to graze. The choice you make is unlikely to lead to a bad experience. Instead, if you try something you never have before you likely find a new favorite.

While this location might occasionally have a bit of a wait for service, the bubble tea is always worth it. They use specific ingredients that give off a wonderful, wholesome flavor. This is all helped by them allowing you to choose from a range of sweetness, letting you have exactly the experience that you want.
The tea flavors that they do have seem chosen well to go with most of the food that you can get here. If you are on the move and only want the tea, though, it will be more than enough for any day’s needs.

14. Sunway Pyramid Food - Chateraise
The vanity display at this cafe was the first thing that caught our eye here at Food Porn. Their cakes were all on display, a million colors and flavors enticing us with their sexy glazes. Okay maybe that was a bit much, but I will freely admit that the display looked good.
Alongside the coffee options, you come here for their selection of finely-crafted artisanal cakes. They taste wonderful, too, and during the holidays you can also expect specialty delicacies at that time of the year.
We ended up in love with the Japanese Apple Pie but heard very good things about the Mixberry Custard Cream Tart. Though, there is enough here that you could try a new thing every day for over a month.

15. Sunway Pyramid Food - Dar Al-Arab Gourmet Restaurant
In checking out all these other restaurants, what we did not expect was to find a venue with live music. This high-class venue had a wonderful pair of singers on while we were there and it made the date I was on all that much more special.
To make the outing more fun, we went for a mixed grill platter so we could share the food. It was perfect. The meal was well-prepared, and the whole thing was lovingly laid-out on the plate. It tasted so good that my date and I joked about fighting for the last few mouthfuls.
Very much a location to return to in the future.

This location is excellent if you want to impress someone. Not only is the venue a perfect location fit for a wedding or similar large event, but the food suits the mood to a T.
One of their specials is a selection of foods cooked and placed on a beancurd-skin spoon. This spoon is not only edible, but it also tastes great alongside the selection of toppings they have chosen.
If you really want to have something unique, go for the century egg. Depending on where you come from, it might be a brand new delicacy for you. Although do not look up how they make it until after you know it is delicious.

17. Sunway Pyramid Food - Hana Dining Sake Bar
The Sunway Pyramid was not lacking in Japanese fusion, and as we tried each of these locations we were happy for one with more of a bar aesthetic. Despite this, we could not help but be impressed by their range of different flavors.
We turned up in time for one of their meals. It was great to help get a good set of things to try. We enjoyed their Saba Teriyaki and assorted Nigiri but wanted to attempt their premium selections next time we visit.

Madam Kwan’s restaurant tries to fuse many different Malay cuisines together. The intent is to create unique and delicious flavors, and for the most part, it has succeeded.
We tried their specialty dish, the Nasi Lemak, and it was delicious. This was a wonderful combination of flavors including chicken, anchovies, and pickled vegetables. When brought together, they led to a single great experience.

19. Sunway Pyramid Food - Dolly Dim Sum
The proprietors of Dolly Dim Sum have tried to bring the Chinese tea house aesthetic to a more robust menu. We applaud them for both the ambiance of the location as well as the fantastic food we tried.
We asked for recommendations and they guided us towards the Har Gao Dumpling and Beancurd Skin Roll, alongside the Egg Custard Bun. We also asked for some of Dolly’s Fried Chicken Wings. I would say that the chicken wings were a nice palette cleanser to some other wonderful choices.

The wooden decor and wide open spaces make this place feel homely and welcoming. The buffet was delicious, and the food was surprisingly fresh for such a serving method.
Their selection of broths was wide enough to allow us to choose from many different options and recipes for our food. We would recommend giving them all a go if you can and choosing your favorite.

This hidden bar was an unexpected delight when we entered. We were surprised by the darkened ambiance and calm mood alongside some great meals on offer.
I indulged in the “I Feel Skinny Today” burger, which was the perfect way to fill me up and fulfill my appetite. Meanwhile, my date had the lobster omelet, and while she would not let me have any the look on her face was one of pure, orgasmic joy.

If you are looking for some simple and wholesome Korean food, this is a good place to go. Both the Dol Sot Bibimbap and the Cheese Ramyun were favorites among my peers, and we ended up returning here many times for lunch.
If you just want to take away something small, they also have a street food section as well as many other options. It all has a great flavor, so do not hesitate if you want a snack.

Focusing on its namesake, this location has a wonderful line of Tonkatsu dishes. The location itself is very relaxing, evoking feelings of its Japanese roots, and the staff was very helpful.
We picked out a Katsu Curry and a Rosu Katsu. Alongside the refillable rice, tonjiru, and cabbage, we had a very wholesome and satisfying meal.

We wanted to try some more Thai food while we were in the Sunway Pyramid, and were lucky that Mr. Tuk Tuk was open.
I was a huge fan of their signature Tuk Tuk Noodles, which had the perfect level of sauce to not have an overpowering flavor. We also bought Stir Fried Kangkung and Dry Chilli Chicken to share, which rounded out the meal nicely. It is a great place for a quick bite.

Coming from the UK, I had an already-existing view of what Nandos was. As such, when I tried this Malaysian location, I was shocked at the new recipes on offer. Still, they had the basics down, including the options of sauces and emphasis on chicken.
I recommend their Chicken Butterfly, although I had hoped I could get it in a bun. The rest of the meal was good enough to assuage such feelings. Grab yourself a full bowl, or a meal and some sides, and relax in the South-African ambiance.
